Mother Hubbards Nelson

so much amaizing place clean staff so much freindly great prices . Food is delicious omg I love it great gravy. I had a finsh and chips and I love kt. Even I am from Preston I will come again when I will be arround. I love tha place!

I have visited Oldham mother Hubbards a good few times and now I have visited the branch in nelson twice and I have to say I have never been let down, definitely some off the best fish and chips in the entire country. No one does like mother Hubbards for me. Absolutely brilliant. Will continue to visit when I can. I just wish they had 1 in Warrington so I could visit more 😁

I was beaten by their super jumbo! My wife and I called in for a Friday chippy tea. After driving past this place on many occasions we decided to give it a shot, and we’re so glad that we did. I went with their Super Jumbo and my wife had a kids fish bites n chips. Both meals were freshly cooked, piping hot, and absolutely delicious 🤤 We ate in, the dining area is modern, bright, and ultra clean. We will have no hesitation in calling here again, in fact we can’t wait, only next time I think that I’ll go for a regular fish and chips as the Super Jumbo well and truly beat me.

Tasty food, excellent services. One of the customer services lady called Nimra had been wonderful. She helped me chosing my lunch. There was another Asian lady working at the counter, she had been brilliant. My food was served at the table. All together it was a pleasant visit at Mither Hubbard at Nelson.Goid stuff, keep it up guys 👍.

Update: 17 July, today bought 2 portions of fish bites and chips. Brought home, open boxes and disappointed. Looks like I got kids fish bites and someone take piece from my fish bite. Taste like it was fried to much. Some chips raw. :( We had family meal. Fish is better than in Blackpool. This is my favourite place. Chips was alright, but could be little bit tiny or deeper frying. Atmosphere perfect. Big windows. You can enjoy view to the pendle hill. Love this place.

Great food. But unfortunately the staff don't change there blue gloves enough. I.e from wiping tables to handling money also can be seen using the toilet still have their blue gloves on. All this being said the food is good value and great portions..

I ordered the jumbo fish an chips with 2 sides and the fish bites with chips. Chips were as fresh as they come and the jumbo fish was simply delicious. The batter was delicious an the fish tasted amazing with the sides mushy peas an curry. Price wise as you expect quite expensive cost me nearly £30 but well worth it. Since then have been quite a few times and it's still delicious an fresh, also have tried the munch box which is excellent value for money at £11.95 get 2 chicken strips, 2 hot wings 2 fiery fish pieces, chips, drink, side of your choice and a butty of your choice. This could definitely fill 2 people up as the box is big as shown in picture.
